Spire Electrical is committed to providing a safe work environment for its employees, sub-contractors, clients, consultants and the greater community.

Compliance to the 2011 Workplace Health and Safety Act is maintained at all times and strict adherence to industry leading and best practices guidelines across all activities performed company wide. Safety is valued as the principle driver in the day to day operations of the company and an “inclusion” policy built around a safe work culture employed. All employees are responsible for safety and empowered with the safety of all.

To implement the safety policy Spire Electrical establishes the following safety Critical Control Principles (SCCP):

  1. All employees shall be suitably trained, ticketed and competent in all activities
  2. Safe Work Procedures are maintained during all works performed
  3. “Live” work is to be avoided at all times
  4. Spire Electrical Personnel Protective Equipment Requirements are to be complied with as a minimum during all activities
  5. Preventative reporting such as potential hazards, near misses or the alike are recorded and amended via onsite Site Specific Safety Management Plans
  6. Safety Representatives are nominated for each project team working with clients in delivering a “zero harm environment”
